1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Loose Loop account using one of the following methods:

Option A: Web or In-app Deletion (Recommended)

  1. Open Loose Loop on the web or in the mobile app
  2. Open your profile menu and select Settings
  3. Choose Account
  4. Choose Delete Account
  5. Confirm your decision when prompted

Your account is deleted immediately after confirmation.

Option B: Email Request

If you cannot access Loose Loop, email us and we can delete your account for you.

  1. Email help@thelooseloop.com
  2. Use the subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your account

We process email deletion requests within 30 days.

2. Data Deleted with Account Deletion

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Account profile information, including your email address and name
  • Knitting projects, project progress, and notes
  • Uploaded project photos
  • Saved yarn inventory and stash details
  • Saved tools and accessories
  • User preferences and app settings tied to your account

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

3. Data That May Be Retained

In limited cases, we may retain specific records where required by law:

  • Transaction and purchase records, which may be kept for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Aggregated or anonymized analytics that cannot identify you personally
  • Any data we are legally required to retain

4. Deletion Timeline

  • In-app deletion: Immediate
  • Email request deletion: Up to 30 days
