Description

Selma Balaclava is a soft, oversized hood that keeps your head and neck warm on chilly days. Its relaxed fit gives it a cozy, laid-back feel, while the contrast-colored ribbing and i-cord drawstring add a playful pop of color. The balaclava can also be knitted entirely in one color for a more minimalistic look.

The balaclava is worked from the bottom up in stockinette stitch, starting in the round and continuing flat to shape the face opening and crown with decreases. The top of the hood is closed using a three-needle bind-off. The face opening is finished with folded ribbing and an i-cord drawstring. This quick project is also a great way to use up leftover yarn from your stash!

This digital pattern is availabe in English (Finnish version only in Ravelry) and it includes written instructions and video tutorials for the techniques.
