Worked from the center out in 6 rounds. The appearance of color work is created without ever needing to change yarn colors within a round - the snowflake motif is created from alternating single color rounds using interlock crochet technique and front post stitches. This creates a beautiful design and also makes a dense fabric perfect for a stuffed ornament. The ornament looks the same on both sides.
These work up relatively quickly and are a great opportunity to use up small amounts of leftover yarn. I like these ornaments best worked up in red and white, but feel free to experiment with other color combinations.
This pattern works wonderfully with the suggested yarns - Shine Sport and Comfy Sport by KnitPicks - but feel free to try out other yarns and use what you already have in stash. These are both great for any sport or dk weight yarn - you will need 2 contrasting colors of your preference.
The ornaments are stuffed, so for those you will need polyfill, yarn scraps, cut up fabric scraps, or some other filling material, as well as an ornament hook.
The PDF patterns include all the details you need with materials list, written pattern, pattern chart, clear instructions and photos of each step.
